“This painting shows the only match I ever played there. It was a Sunday League match which was televised by the BBC. It was one of the first opportunities that I had to see myself on film so that I could analyse my wicket-keeping technique. There were no camera or computer facilities to aid coaching at Gloucestershire CCC in those days!
