“I was asked to paint a picture of the 1999 World Cup Final by NatWest Bank. To achieve a colour note on the day of the final I sat high up in the Media centre, at the Nursery End, giving me a wonderful view of the playing area and the famous Lord’s pavilion. I had to work fast, as the Aussies made quick work of their opponents.”
