“Having had the Gallery in the High Street, Chipping Sodbury, for quite a few years, I decided it was time to paint a picture of the main street. I’ve left out all the cars (except my vintage Ford van), but included a lot of the local characters, Jane Gardiner (who runs the Gallery), the butcher and his wife (from next door), Lesley (from the Spar shop), the florist, and Eddie Gardiner our builder (he’s hiding, almost), and many more… Jack Russell MBE
