Rodney Parade Newport

£5,000.00

Oil on canvas measuring 18″ x 32″

“This painting shows the last match played here by Glamorgan (v Gloucestershire in 1989) before it was sold off and developed. Legend has it that there used to be a factory nearby that for years had a window with a big hole in it made by a cricket ball hit by Gloucestershire and England great Wally Hammond. The rugby ground in the background is the home on Newport Dragons.” Jack Russell MBE
